I am currently a PhD student at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Bern.
In addition to social inequality and social mobility, I am particularly interested in the emergence of hierarchies and social distinctions. I enjoy exploring questions that quantitatively examine socioeconomic, sociocultural, and spatial dimensions, such as how social background and ethnicity shape career opportunities.
Previously, I earned a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Bern, including two semesters at the University of Basel, as well as a bachelor’s degree in sociology and geography from the University of Zurich.
